Technical Assistance

Project Description: MLTPA and our Industry Sector Coordinator partner, Sierra Focus Media, offered free technical assistance for Sierra Jobs First Catalyst and Implementation projects. This assistance drew on our staff's expertise in sustainable outdoor recreation, including project strategy and development, deep regional knowledge of recreation stakeholders, and GIS and trail design backgrounds, alongside Sierra Focus Media's skillset in marketing, branding, and strategic communications.

Our funding expertise spans state and federal grant programs, voter-approved bond measures, and private philanthropic and corporate partnerships with outdoor recreation industry stakeholders, as well as the local, state, and federal policy landscape affecting recreation in the region.

Sierra Jobs First has an official website managed by the Sierra Business Council for the state of California identified "Eastern Sierra Region" which includes Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, and Tuolumne Counties. The most current documents and information are available here.

This project was funded by Sierra Jobs First and created to support the initiative’s mission of creating a community-led, climate-neutral, inclusive future for our industry in the Sierra region. Through our partnership with Sierra Business Council, regional conveners and fiscal administrators for California Jobs First in the Sierra region, we provided industry-specific assistance that supported job growth, inclusive workforce development, and economic resilience, while protecting our region’s natural lands and vibrant communities.
