FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

MLTPA's Five-Year Strategic Plan spells out our staffing needs. Our team is organized as directors working in collaboration with, and at the direction of, the Chief Executive Officer. The role and responsibilities of each position are identified in its job description. Board Member John Wentworth is currently volunteering as our Chief Executive Officer.

Operations Manager:  The Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access Foundation (MLTPA) is seeking energetic, motivated applicants interested in serving as Operations Manager. A successful applicant will be responsible for day-to-day operations, budget preparation and management, grant management, and staffing/human resources. Three years of fiscal, administrative, accounting, office management, information technology, HR, or personnel management experience required. Demonstrated familiarity and expertise with computer platforms and software, especially Microsoft Office; online tools including content management systems (CMS); cloud based data storage systems; and online employee time tracking software. Flexible work schedule, compensation commensurate with experience, benefits. Your passion for sustainable outdoor recreation will be a major plus. Please email resume to hr@mltpa.org

Project Specialist:  A successful applicant will have a demonstrated interest in public policy including Sustainable Recreation, ecosystem management, State of California climate change policies and initiatives, state and federal public funding opportunities, and federal public lands policy along with demonstrated proficiencies writing public communications and grant applications. Responsible for specific duties as assigned by MLTPA staff, including public meeting preparation, messaging and outreach review, and participation in public meetings. Demonstrated familiarity and experience with computer platforms, digital systems, and software, especially Microsoft Office. Passion for sustainable outdoor recreation a plus. PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

MLTPA aspires to work efficiently and to keep our organization tight and nimble. This means that part-time work equals full-time responsibility. Key staff positions at MLTPA are filled on a part-time basis. "Part-time" doesn't mean "downtime" -- welcome to our "three-job town!"
