Project Description: The 10th Season of Trail Days continues at the Coldwater Trail on July 14th! Join Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center and Mammoth Mountain Ski Area for a day of trail work. Volunteers will be doing trail maintenance, general clean up, painting and installing new signage around the Coldwater Trailheads. Everyone will get an introduction to trail maintenance skills from the Mammoth Lakes Trail System Trail Crew, and find out about ways to get involved all summer long!
Meet at the Coldwater Trailheads (above the Coldwater Campground) for a free bagel breakfast provided by Old New York Deli, safety talk, and work assignments. A free gourmet lunch – brought to you by Volunteer Eastern Sierra and Bleu Handcrafted Foods – will cap off the day of trail work, along with raffle prizes and free giveaways. All ages and abilities are welcome, as are families and clubs! Please arrive dressed for trail work (long pants, sun protection, sturdy close-toed shoes and gloves), and don’t worry if you can’t make it quite at 8:30; we can check you in and send you off to a task in progress just about anytime before 10:30 a.m. Trail Days are made possible by the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, and Mammoth’s own Measure R! And special thanks to KMMT Radio for airtime to spread the word!
