Project Description: Trail work, lakeshore cleanup, trash removal, and potential snow shoveling! We'll stage under the pop-up tent at the Horseshoe Lake parking lot (and we encourage volunteers to carpool, as parking is limited), review safety procedures, announce the day's tasks, and have a bagel breakfast, then break into small groups to work on the following projects:
+ Horseshoe Lake Trail maintenance (brushing and rocking the trail)
+ McLeod Lake Trail maintenance (brushing and rocking the trail)
+ Horseshoe Lake recreation-area trash pickup
+ Snow removal (locations dependent on conditions)
Volunteers will work for approximately three hours, then meet back at the tent at Horseshoe Lake for lunch and raffle prizes. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and on-the-ground conditions!
