The Mammoth Lakes Summer of Stewardship 2009 is a six-event program that runs from June through September and involves local recreation user groups and clubs in caring for some of the area’s best-loved amenities. Mammoth Lakes Summer of Stewardship 2009 Event Schedule
All events are held on Saturdays, are free and open to everyone, and include a free lunch and raffle prizes. Volunteers MUST wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy close-toed shoes to participate. Registration is not required. Click the name of any past event for a recap!
June 6, National Trails Day: Trail-Work Party at Sherwin Lakes Trailhead
July 18: Trail-Work Party and Lakeshore Cleanup at Horseshoe Lake, co-hosted by Mammoth Pet Shop
August 1: Trail-Work Party at Panorama Dome and Mammoth Rock Trail, co-hosted by High Sierra Equestrian Club, the 395 Fat Tire Council, and the Mammoth Lakes Fire Department
August 15: Trail-Work Party at Duck Pass Trail, co-hosted by the High Sierra Striders and Footloose Sports
September 12: Trail-Work Party and Lakeshore Cleanup at Convict Lake, co-hosted by Convict Lake Resort and The Trout Fitter
September 26, National Public Lands Day: Trail-Work Party at Inyo Craters, co-hosted by Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center (ESAC) and Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures
